A quick, non-invasive imaging test that uses a small dose of ionizing radiation to create pictures of the structures inside your chest, including your heart, lungs, airways, blood vessels, and chest wall.
Test Instructions:
Clothing: You will be asked to remove your clothing from the waist up and wear a hospital gown.
Jewelry & Metal: Remove all necklaces, chains, earrings, and metallic objects from your upper body, as metal blocks X-ray beams and obscures the images.
Pregnancy: If there is any chance you might be pregnant, inform the technician beforehand so protective shielding can be provided if necessary.
